This course will impart the knowledge and skills for aspiring and existing professionals in the Built Environment to review and maintain Building Information Modelling (BIM) database across the project lifecycle.

This course provides learners with an introduction to BIM by examining its contextual application in project lifecycles, creating basic BIM models and developing documentation. Learners who are new entrants to the Built Environment will benefit from acquiring a broad overview of BIM and basic skills in navigating and maintaining BIM models, which will prepare them for future BIM courses to deepen their technical skills in digital delivery.

At the same time, learners who are experienced industry practitioners of the Built Environment can benefit from being able to better review BIM models from their design/drafting teams after this course.
• At least a diploma in architecture, green building and sustainability, mechanical and electrical, green building & sustainability, mechatronics civil, structural engineering, aerospace engineering, landscape architecture, interior design, sustainable urban design and engineering, or any built-environment related course.
• English language proficiency at GCE ‘O’ level of C6 and above, or WSQ Workplace Literacy skills of Level 6 and above.
• Possess basic information and communication technology (ICT) skills.
